一輛要價千萬起跳的賓利轎車於18日傍晚，行經台9線台東龍過脈路段時，前方一輛砂石車的左後輪突然脫落，撞到山壁後再反彈砸中賓利車頭，瞬間發出驚人巨響，導致名車的前保險桿斷裂，估計修理費用至少破百萬，所幸無人傷亡。事後，潘姓砂石車駕駛坦承疏失，並允諾賠償車損，但驚人的維修費恐讓他傷透腦筋。

據了解，駕駛賓利車的張姓男子18日傍晚沿台9線往花蓮方向北上，行經台東龍過脈時，發現前方的砂石車「一路晃」，原本想保持安全距離，但又怕會發生事故，因此才正打算超車向大車駕駛示警時，該車的左後輪竟突然飛出，先是滾過道路中線撞上山壁後，又再反彈擊中賓利車，隨即發出轟然巨響。

整起事故雖然沒有造成人員傷亡，但賓利車的前保險桿當場斷成2截，左車頭板金和頭燈破損，還因水箱破裂導致車輛動彈不得，現場零件散落一地，讓車主看了好心疼；而畢竟人沒有受傷就是不幸中的大幸，因此張男雖心有餘悸，但仍表示「人沒事就好了」。

據了解，砂石車司機事後坦承疏失，並願意負起車損賠償，不過受損的賓利車型為「CONTIENTAL GT」，新車價約在1160萬至1780萬元間，粗估修車費用至少要價百萬，尤其年節將近，這驚人的維修費恐怕還是讓他年關難過。
